Let's Begin!
Have you ever used any of Samurai Spray Paint Top Coat? Here are the common Top Coat that we Izutaro used for our Gunpla and other toys. WARNING: This product DOES NOT design for any model kit. But we still used it anyway.
For this experiment I used:
No.82 CLEAR MATT (Clear Matte)
For this experiment I used:
No.82 CLEAR MATT (Clear Matte)
F1 Flat Clear (Clear Flat:Smooth texture than matte)
1/128 Clear (Clear)
No.83 Clear Gloss (Extra Gloss)
No.101 MC Clear (Fine Metallic Clear)
Direction for use:
1. Clear the surface of your gunpla.
2. Shake the spray can for 30 seconds. Aim the gunpla from distance 8-15cm and spray sideways. DO NOT spray at one spot.
3. Let it dry for 2-5 minutes and repeat for 2-3 times.
4. Apply all side of your gunpla.

These are the effects when I spray with 2 layers of top coat. These products are thin, if you apply more than 3 layers, it will show more effects BUT beware of thickness especially when you apply to a gunpla or other small model kit.
No.82 Clear Matt
You can see the panel lining is blending with the texture and the gloss are hardly appears.

F1 Flat Clear
You can see the panel lining also blending and the texture is a bit smoother than the matte. It's like a semi gloss effect.

1/128 Clear
You can see the panel lining is stay the same but the texture of that building became very glossy and it brighten the color of the building. Even the light reflex is almost like a mirror.

No.83 Clear Gloss
The effects are almost the same with Clear but if you can see closely, it's not glossy as the Clear BUT the texture are smoother. This is because the Clear Gloss is usually use after apply Clear Top Coat to make it more glossy and smooth finish.
No.101 MC Clear (Fine)
The effects are almost the same with Clear and Clear Gloss BUT if you look very closely you can see there are sparkling dust in the Top Coat. If you apply more than 3 layers, the texture will be Metallic like-look. It will look much better if you apply on metallic paint to make it look more gloss.
These two are my personal favorites top coat. Usually I used Clear Matt for undercoat heavy weathering and water base paint. Flat Clear I usually used for clean build gunpla, top coat after a weathering or painting.
You can find SAMURAI PAINT from the info below. I believe that Samurai Spray Paint is also available in Thailand and Singapore too. I'm not sure about other country.
