Weathering Putaro Style!
I'm going to show you guys how i do weathering with my own style. It's simple, anyone can try it.
Caution: This is NOT a profeesional technique.
This is one of my experiment and research about how to make gunpla's weathering with the lowest cost. I still use this technique because i really like it, it's simple, easy and no risk. Why i share this? It's because, i know out there still someone that want to build gunpla, and customize it with limited equipment and tool. This maybe can be your first step to build custom gunpla. This technique is safe and harmless. If you tried and you don't like it, just wash your gunpla with water. This technique i have used it on my gunpla, and one of them is the Gundam After War. | First you need a Soft Pastel and some brush, you can cut the front brush a bit to make the brush hard, you can use any kind of brush, feel free to explore. Soft pastel, you can get at local art store, or you can just buy the cheapest one. |

| Another thing that you need is Flat/Matt clear spray paint, with this you can make the soft pastel stick when you paint with it. You are recommended to spray your kit before apply the soft pastel, BUT it you are not confident about how it will end it, just skip the spray part. I used Samurai paint Flat Clear, it's cheap and i like the result. |

| Ant the last thing you'll need it a bowl of clear water. |

| Meet the test subject. Guys, i'll present to you, G-Exia Hopper. As you can see, i have done some "scratched metal" effect. I used gundam marker. |

| If you look closely, there is no other effect except the scratching. |
 |
| First, you wet the brush a little bit, then rub the brush on the pastel, try start with brown colour, then test paint on a piece of paper. Apply it to your kit. it's okey if you make a mistake, you can just clean it with your finger or towel. |

| Try to apply to all parts, try to mix brown with a little bit of black colour. If you want to make a bright rusty, try use orange colour it should help. Once you try it, you'll understand how it works. |

| You can see the differences. IF you don't like it, just wash it with water, it's simple and easy. |

| now it looks much realistic. The finishing, you need to spray the MATT/FLAT CLEAR. Then you can still add some more effect if you want. Happy trying~! |
