Tutorial: The Making of Taro's MG 1/100 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam

Hi and welcome to Putaro Plastic Modeller~! This is a 2018's artwork that I just forgot to upload this article, too busy back then. This is just a simple walkthrough how I did this artwork. The full article of this finished artwork are [HERE].

So let's get it started!

The gunpla that I used in this project:

Name: RX-0 Unicorn Gundam

Scale Grade: 1/100 Master Grade

Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Gundam

Year: 2010

This the out of box look, but this one I did glued the parts to make the opening revealed a bit the inner frames.

For this project I used Acrylic Colors for hand paints, also I did used some pencil colors to make the effects.

The material list:

Reeves Acrylic Colors:
White, Red, Blue

Metallic Red Marker Pen

Pencil Colors

Citadel Shade Reikland Fleshshade

This is the first Idea that planning to do, but it looks to messy and like a blood spilled on this kit.

This is the finished product. Now we got lighting, shadow, highlights, glow and brush strokes that makes it looks like a painting.

All I did is just painted it slowly, layer by layer, then finished it with dry brushing and pencil colors.

There you go, not much to see, just simple walkthrough.
It sounds so easy, yes it was easy for me, because I used to failure.
So, I just keep on trying, until there is nothing left to do, then I maybe just maybe will I consider to give up.
